Bumper / Overrider bar Assembly Photos

Photo 1

Photo shows pre-fitting of both left and right overriders. Nothing fancy, but important. All metal to primer areas are masked off to prevent scratching.

Photo 2

The pre-fitting of many parts are essential. Especially those that require painting before assembly. Doors, hood, rear lid, and bumpers should all be pre-fit and lined before painting.

Photo 3

Photo shows rear bumper in place with all chrome in place for pre-fitting. Perfect fit is the result of many hours of body work on not just the car but also on the bumper. Many tasks have to be performed on bumpers to bring them back to original or better than original quality. My other URLs have photos of hte metal work, replacement metal, heating, shrinking, jig-aligning, and hammering, not to mention hours of sanding fillers to obtain the correct look and the application of primer. All chrome plus other bumper parts are attached to the bumper before bumper is placed on the body.

Photo 4

This photo shows complete front bumper set in place for pre-fitting. Overrider bar, still in the wrappings, is from NLA and was a perfect fit. Much work was done to this front bumper to acheive the quality in look. See my other URLs.

Photo 5

Photo shows close up of fog light bracket. This fog bracket was custom made for this application. Bracket will eventually be sent out to be chromed. More info on these brackets are available at my other URLs.

Photo 6

Photo shows both left and right headlight openings. Most of the metal around the opening was replaced. The recessed flange was put in place afterwards. There are other photos and information text on how to do this repair correctly. Visit www.365b.com/metal. The primer you see is Spies Hecker #3255 over bare metal. This primed area has yet to be sanded.
