Top photo shows rocker butt welded to the outer fender skin. The fender skin was replaced from just below the molding holes to the rocker and forward to the wheel arch about 8" above the rocker. The forward area of the rocker was changed to match the original rocker. The forward area of the rocker was flattened and new metal was but welded in place then trimmed and rolled around the fender wire. The radius in the rocker was hammered to match that of the door. Photo on the bottom shows the "worked" panel after a coat of primer. No lead or filler will be needed in this area. Hopefully another coat of primer will be all that's necessary.
